A home, not a facility.

We believe everyone deserves a place to feel safe, valued, and supported. Our mission is to create a true home environment—not an institution—for individuals who need stability and compassion in their lives.

Why We Started

In 2019, we opened our first home with one mission: “Be the bridge between despair and dignity for those abandoned by systems. Today, we stand as advocating guardians of basic human sanctuary—because housing isn’t charity. It’s justice!

Values

We don't rent rooms—we cultivate family. Veterans share coffee with seniors. Returning citizen helping neighbors tend gardens together. Case managers aren't staff—they're housemates who've walked similar paths. Our homes thrive on Peace of Mind.

❌ What We NEVER Provide

We do not provide:

  • Medical/nursing care, therapy, or medication assistance
  • Meals, transportation, or personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.)
  • Supervision, case management, or behavioral support
  • Licensed facility services (we are not an assisted living, nursing home, or healthcare provider)

⚠ Critical Notes:

  1. Residents must be fully independent in all activities of daily living (ADLs).
  2. No staff are present to assist with health, mobility, or personal needs.
  3. Residents may separately hire third-party licensed care providers (at their own expense), but:
    • House of Hope does not employ, manage, or endorse these providers.
    • All care arrangements are strictly between the resident and the external agency.

Resident Responsibilities

Independence Requirement

All residents must be physically and mentally capable of living without assistance. You are responsible for your own:

  • Medical care (including medication management & appointments)
  • Personal hygiene & meals
  • Transportation
  • Safety & decision-making

If your needs change, you must secure external support or relocate.

We provide independent housing for seniors, returning citizens, military veterans, and others. We do not offer medical or personal care, supervision or supportive services - just safe and stable housing.

We prioritize:
- Seniors (55+) on fixed incomes
- Returning Citizens (formerly incarcerated)
- Veterans
- Others on a case-by-case basis

No. Residents must live independently and handle their own meals, transportation, medications, and personal care.

Rent varies by room/location. Contact us for rates. We aim to keep housing affordable.

All residents must:
- Respect shared spaces (clean up after themselves)
- Follow quiet hours (10PM–7AM)
- Prohibit drugs, alcohol abuse, or illegal activity
- Pay rent on time

- Vaccination: Encouraged but not required.
- Isolation: Residents who test positive must temporarily isolate (per CDC guidelines).
- Cleaning: High-touch areas are sanitized regularly.
- Masks: Optional unless local mandates apply.

Note: We are not a healthcare facility—residents are responsible for their own health precautions.

No pets allowed!

- Daytime guests:* Allowed in common areas if they respect house rules.
- No Overnight guests:* Guest Visitation (2 hours maximum) must be approved in advance.
- No long-term guests* (e.g., no unofficially moving someone in).
